3 strange ufo lights over Peoria Arizona - did anyone else see it?

Mufon case report:

I was with a group of friends at Cold Stone (ice cream restaurant). We had just left the restaurant and were standing in a circle talking in the parking lot. I was facing southeast when I was the first to notice the object in the sky. At first glance it just appeared to be a shooting star but it was moving very slowly and then it clearly changed directions.

I told everyone to turn around (there were 4 of us total). We watched the object for a few seconds when we noticed that a second object had appeared below the first. They were both "drifting" back an forth.At this point I pulled my iphone out and frantically began trying to film them. When I started filming a third object appeared (as can be seen in the video I uploaded).

The video makes it hard to see, but all three of the objects had a short tail and were slowly drifting or "dancing" back and forth. I was freaking out and inadvertently drawing a lot of attention (as can be heard in my video). There were other witnesses in the parking lot, a couple of ladies are seen asking us what they were in the video. Before I started filming, another group of people wrote off the objects as being, "just meteors". The objects clearly were not meteors.

They disappeared one at a time and just seemed to burn out or fade away. Roughly 3 minutes after the incident there was a fireworks show about 30 degrees west and much much lower to the ground than the lights had appeared. I do not think the sightings were related to the fireworks, they lasted too long and did not behave like any fireworks I have ever seen, they were also long gone by the time the fireworks started and were in the completely wrong part of the sky.

Roughly 10-15 minutes after the event, I was driving due north when a row of 3 fighter jets flew straight past me heading in the exact direction that the lights had been seen. We were relatively close to Luke Air Force Base, but jets rarely fly directly over the city, and they were low and fast.

At the same time as the jets flew past me, a helicopter flew directly overhead going northwest (not toward the event). I do not think the helicopter was related to the event, but I have suspicions that the jets might be."

Although this video is not as smooth a filming sequence as compared to past videos because of the excitement, nonetheless this UFO flyover is exceptional after weeks of few displays. There was heavy cloud cover tonight but in one location above there was a wide gap of open clear sky. I was about to continue on to the normal sighting spot but took another few seconds to peer in the opening and that's when the object moved into view. The gear was quickly unpacked and the cam was powered up as the object came overhead. It moves left to right and appears to slow in speed before moving out of view.

Mufon case report:
On February 4, 2012 (and according to my very short videos time 2154 eastern time) I went to get my phone that was sitting near the living room window, it was then when I noticed a group of red lights outside on the eastern side of the town. I informed my wife of the sighting and run outside to the back porch. She soon followed behind me with camera on hand. The group of red bright solid lights were all spread across the horizon not flying anywhere (more like peppering the sky), no particular formation, but seemingly hovering for a minute or two before start ascending straight up in unison. No engine or other sound was heard .There was an overcast and soon after the start of the ascend they disappeared behind the clouds. We noticed that they must have been at different altitudes since they disappeared at different intervals with the closest one to us, last. The encounter lasted around 2 minutes. However, I dont know how long they were there before I noticed them. So I cannot tell if they had descended thru the overcast and sat there for a while and went back up. Or if they had been flying under the overcast and sat there before a saw them, then ascended thru the overcast. All I know is when I spotted then, they were not ascending or descending, they were hovering spread thru the horizon. The reason I know they were spread thru the horizon is that the closest one to us was bigger than the other farther away.
My wife brought the digital camera with her but I was unable to take pictures because the camera kept on trying to focus on the tall tree in front of us and it did not let me take the picture in spite of the fact that I press the shutter button many times. I had my IPod touch and starting videotaping. I could not see anything thru my IPods screen so I assumed that for some reason it wasnt recording so I stop (came to find out later, it had recorded some). The expletive you hear is me frustrated with not been able to document the event. I counted from this very short video and from what I recall at least 10 of the red bright lights.
The event is driving us crazy. I sent an email to the local paper asking if someone else reported them to the local or county authorities but I have not received any response.

Last, a word on the video. Its better if you viewed on a computer monitor with lights off. Where the video stops you can count the other lights, keep in mind some of then are not visible due the tall tree in front of the lights

Mantell was an experienced pilot; his total flight history consisted of 2,167 hours in the air, and he had been honored for his part in the Battle of Normandy during World War II.

On 7 January 1948, Godman Army Airfield at Fort Knox, Kentucky received a report from the Kentucky State Highway Patrol of an unusual aerial object near Maysville, Kentucky. Reports of a westbound circular object, 250 to 300 feet (91 m) in diameter, were made from Owensboro, Kentucky, and Irvington, Kentucky.

At about 1:45 p.m., Sgt Quinton Blackwell saw an object from his position in the control tower at Fort Knox. Two other witnesses in the tower also reported a white object in the distance. Base commander Colonel Guy Hix reported an object he described as "very white," and "about one fourth the size of the full moon.

Actual Transcript:

"Godman Tower Calling the flight of 4 ships northbound over Godman Field. Do you read? Over.

"Roger, Godman Tower. This is National Guard 869, Flight Leader of the formation. Over."

"National Guard 869 from Godman Tower. We have an object out south of Godman here that we are unable to identify, and we would like to know if you have gas enough; and if so could you take a look for us if you will."

"Roger, I have the gas and I will take a look for you if you give me the correct heading.

One of his three companions in flight received permission to continue his pre-assigned flight plan, while Mantell and the remaining two planes headed to the coordinates of the visual sightings.

Mantell led the way in the climb to 15,000 feet, and upon reaching the position, he radioed the following statement back to the control tower.

"The object is directly ahead of and above me now, moving at about half my speed... It appears to be a metallic object or possibly reflection of Sun from a metallic object, and it is of tremendous size... I'm still climbing... I'm trying to close in for a better look."
