San Diego Skies - UFO Orb Lights: 30/12/2013

Filmers comments: I was driving home on 30/12 and saw these three bright orange lights in the sky. I pulled over and got on the hood of my car to get a better view. They seemed to move horizontally as well as disappear and reappear in different locations. Does anyone know what these lights were? They were bright orange but unfortunately my phone shows them as being lighter in color.

I saw them too! on 1/1/2014 @ 12:02 am. I pulled out my tablet and took a video. Same pattern of lights as your video. No way these were plains. They went up to the top of the sky and faded away.

They were probably Chinese lanterns. I remember some guy released a bunch around New Years Eve a few years ago.

On Jan 1st at around 12:08 am, I saw a total of at least 4 to five bright redish, orangist lights hovering in the sky. I looked out the window to show my son the fireworks, and instead I saw two lights flying upward to the sky. I knew they weren't planes because commercial planes would never fly that close. So,i told my wife to look, and those lights faded away, and 2 more flashing lights started going upward at the same time, and were moving together and faded away. Now look, I'm not saying that there some type of Alien craft or UFO, I'M just saying it was some strange shit I have never seen before...... Please if anyone has seen this in So. California, hit me back asap. Tell me what you think.... Because I was freaking out....lol

I was at the motel 6 and couldnt believe my eyes had about 25 other people in amazement.... It couldnt have been from this world.....

I believe these are actual ufos, way to many witnesses saying zero earthly explination! We are smart enough to identify everything by knowledge, like lanterns, but when a whole city says otherwise! Real UFOs.

From Lawrenceville, GA it was about 12:10am on January 1, 2014. We heard fireworks so run outside to see it but we couldn't, then we saw a red/orange light in the sky at first we thought it was from the fireworks but it was Not, it lasted about 8 minutes, I took pictures of it but didn't even think of a video. We were 16 of us at my house celebrating the new year and we all saw it. So you are not alone.and if You research it looks like a lot of people from different part of the world saw it.

Hey, I looked up Chinese Lanterns on web, and on Youtube, and you know what? I really think it was just that. The way all 4 or 5 rose together in such harmony and just faded away matches consistently with those Lanterns. The only question I have is, How on earth did so many people around 2 states see the same thing, around the same time? Theres no possible way,i can see the chinese lanterns in Cali, and another see those little bitty lights in TX....AT the same time. I don't believe those lanterns could reach a height to which 3 states can see the same thing.... Or am I wrong? And is it possible?

I'm from Canyon Lake Texas, and I seen the exact same thing that you're describing , it was just a little after midnight and I was on my way home from New Years party and I saw 5 orange lights in the sky they seemed too be moving slowly across the sky from right to left, they were not in any particular kind of formation but we're going in the same direction. and I was not alone I was with 6 other people and later found out a lot of the people that we know seen the same thing as well and they were in different parts of the state. I later did a little research and found that they're more sightings all over the world of the exact same thing and the sightings have been happening for some time now

We went from black an white to HD in less than 100 years right? So if we want to find out the truth we have to get together and let it be known..

From Northern California on 1/4/14
at around 9:30pm - 10:00pm

I was driving N on 101 in Petaluma and saw 5 bright orange lights in the sky in the shape of the big dipper. Eventually, I realized it wasn't the big dipper. The orange lights were in perfect formation for a few minutes and then the 2 bottom lights came toward each other and I thought they would merge. It was a little tough to track b/c I was driving on the freeway. Everyone in front of me put on their breaks and slowed down to about 40 mph, to look at the lights. Some people were pointing and others were turning their heads to see. I looked at other cars as I pulled off, because I wanted to see if others noticed it and they did. I pulled off the freeway to park and get better view. The lights then moved into a diamond formation. As I watched, the two lights at the top began to flicker sort of in and out of view. One by one...they began to just fade out and disappear. They were relatively close to the ground and really amazing to see.

We saw them close up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been calling authorities and I just want to know what we saw. It is as real as the day is long. We are very concerned.

Henderson, Nevada

On New Year Eve January 1st 2014 between 12:01 and 12:05 we were in our bedroom looking out at the sky and taking in the fireworks over Las Vegas both on TV and out the window.

We witnessed two bright orange balls of fire cross the sky. The objects came from the direction of Primm towards Las Vegas. I would estimate the speed at 200 to 400 mph and the altitude was from 2000 to 8000 feet. One first crossed the sky and we watched it go up into the sky and disappear. Approximately three minutes later a second fire ball following the identical flight path repeated.

I would estimate the size of each object to have been 10 to 20 feet in diameter. The flames were clear to see. The whole object was a glow. The flames were going up, the flames were not training behind. We were thinking that it was a new fireworks device in the form of a drone because it was flying. It was not shooting across the sky; it was floating across the sky. The closes distance the second ORB came was approximately 1 - 2 miles. I was mesmerized as I watched the energy inside the orb. The flames covered the whole top and were even pulsing flames maybe 5 feet high off the top of the orb. The phenomena rose above our home and disappeared.

We are very concerned as for sure though 100’s of reports came in form California, they were all reported as lights in the sky. In fact, we saw the objects…There are three pictures below, the fist one taken with an I phone normal range. The second is blurred; the third is a blow up of the first image done on my computer without any enhancement.

Hi everyone,

I can see that nobody has a factual explanation for the lights. I'm just glad I'm not the only that saw them. I saw them today at 10 p.m. from Twin Falls, Idaho. The lights I saw began with three big orange-red circular bright lights that would appear and disappear faintly. They then split into a group of two and one solo light. The Youtube video on this page is almost exactly what I saw! Incredible! I wish we knew what they were...and I really doubt they are Chinese lanterns.

My girlfriend and I saw these exact lights over east San Diego County from the Pacific Coast Hwy in Encinitas on 1/17. The three lights were blueish white and and behaved the same as in the video. They hung around for several hours and were seen by many on the street.

I saw maybe the same lights, Driving North bound I15 pulled off the road at Camino DelNorte. Too me they were not too hight in the sky maybe 100-200 feet. they looked like Lanterns as someone said, and they had a flicker to the light like a candle. The movement was slow and steady.

Saw them last night over the bay. Thought they were fire works from sea world but no. Flew like helicopters but way too high. Then seemed to raise in altitude and disappear. Formation was too organized for lanterns
