Brooklyn's The Place To Be For UFO's...Or Lanterns?

What do YOU think?  Were these lights, lanterns or something else?
Posters comments:
Some really strange lights over Brooklyn, New York last night 8/26/12 at about 11pm. All in all there were 30-40 of these glowing orbs that looked to be flying in near perfect triangle formation. We were mesmerized as were several other groups of people who also witnessed the lights from the corner of Vanderbilt and Dekalb Aves. They were clearly not aircraft or helicopters and were in too perfect of a formation to be Chinese Lanterns. After watching them drift across the skyline for several minutes they all disappeared and did not reappear. The craziest thing is that if you search youtube there are multiple videos from exactly one year ago showing the exact same phenomena! If anyone knows what these things were or saw them too, please respond to this video. It was really strange! ps sorry for the language, we were kinda freaking out...

Yea this is very poor quality. Guess one of those see to believe. A shame. So many cameras and video cams and still crap quality. Mind as well have nothing at all.

Whatever they are, it looks like they are moved by the wind - same trajectory and same speed.

lanters, 100% lanterns. blowing with the wind, do not see this so called triangle theyre formin, cmon now.

if it happened at the same time last year it's clear someone is celebrating, or remembering something and letting lanterns go.

That explains why theres military helicopters circling Brooklyn

I was there. Chinese lanterns launched from around DeKalb and Classon. By the time they floated by Vanderbilt, I'm sure they were high enough in the sky to look like faint dots. I think they were a bunch of Pratt students.

LOL...I don't know whether to laugh
or take your comment seriously!?
Ha! What a waist of helicopter fuel
if its only lanterns!? but if it were something else....that might explain away the:..100% lanterns:)

The lack of clarity and the distance which the objects seem to be at DO NOT lend themselves to positive idenfication of anything other than unidentified lights in the night sky.

Lol id love to see proof of this. Im a huge believer, but have to remain skeptical and not just immediately believe anything is a ufo.

All similar lights. All blowing with the wind in the identical direction forming no pattern. Why would anyone believe they are anything but lanterns. If even one changed directions or sped up or did something itd be a different story.

Exactly! U have to have a permit to set off Chinese lanterns. Someone doing this illegally and the hand of justice(military helicops) soon follow!!
