Giant Ufo craft October 31st Lee's Summit Ufo

Numerous reports in about a giant Ufo craft seen over Lee's Summit.
Infact this is not the first time it has occured over the area. Would like to hear from others who spotted the object and what everyone thinks could be behind it - someone mentioned it was a group of skydivers at night with flares?
Suggest you watch in Fullscreen (Click square on bottom right of video)

I was in the car with my daughter-in-law and two small grandsons, while Trick-or-Treating last night (10-31-11). We were stopped at a light on a busy street when I noticed a huge, circular object moving right toward us from the North. It had pulsating and blinking multi-colored lights, as well as extremely bright, white lights. It came very close and hovered over all the cars and buildings, through several light changes (everyone who saw it just sat where they were!), then slowly began to move off toward the SW in an arcing path. When we first saw it, it was as if it was approaching us with its bottom facing us, (as if on a vertical orientation, and as it retreated, it turned flat (or horizontal), at times moving very slowly, then accelerating very quickly. It would completely disappear from time to time. We followed it, both of us taking turns video-ing it with our phones. It at times acted as if it were playing a game with us, hiding, then appearing very close so we could see details, including a dome-like appendage on the bottom-center. Then it would speed off, eventually making a complete circle over our area and winding up hovering over the neighborhood where we had originally been headed. It disappeared again, as we got out of the car to go tell our friends, and many people in the neighborhood came running up asking if we saw it, too! It returned from low on the Northern horizon, hovered directly over us, at times turning on its end, as before, and at other times performing all sorts of movements that seemed to defy regular laws of physics! Someone said the news was saying it was a group of 7 precision-flight small plane operators, performing a fly-by over the football stadium, but we saw this very closely and it was not a group of small planes (or large ones)! It was completely circular and everything moved as one, without fail. It made very little noise, a pleasant, low, oscillating hum, that I have never heard before, nor had anyone else. Definitely not the sound of any plane or helicopter I have ever heard. This sky-line ballet went on for over an hour and toward the end, the craft had turned to a horizontal position and forcefully ejected a much smaller, red, orb-like object, then shot off never to be seen by us again. The red orb hovered for many minutes, its light just pulsating and varying in intensity of frequency, then it began moving, slowly at first, then it also shot off in the same direction as the large craft and we never saw it again, either. It had no sound. We all felt very affected on many levels. We were, of course, very excited, skeptical (kept trying to google any news about it but phones were not working well), happy (no one seemed to feel frightened or upset), and tingly. Personally, I felt like I had lost a huge chunk of time, and felt an enormous amount of high-frequency energy around me and running through me! I felt hopeful, and could not sleep the rest of the night. The small children were also elated, and had lots of energy as well. Today, I could find no news on TV or the net, other than MUFON, about this! I am just so sad that my phone camera could not capture the beauty and enormity of this thing! Rate this posting:

Awesome catch. Nearest I can figure is maybe a blimp, but one thing it isn't is skydivers.

thats was the best ive seen in along while.

I'm usually pretty good at figuring out what something is in supposed UFO footage (supposed, in that most of them are actually easily identifiable if you know what you are looking for), but I'm at a loss for this one. I could offer a bunch of conjecture, but that's all it would be. Good one.

I'd have to say it isn't a blimp because it doesn't have FAA regulation lights, unless it's a civilian blimp operating w/out legal consent, which's wildly unlikely. If it's a top secret military airship of some kind, i sincerely doubt they'd fly it over a residential area lit up like a goddamn Vegas casino for every1 to see...

i once saw a youtube vid from a troll, he showed how to make this.
you need a big flat baloon, helium, christmas tree lights, a few batteris and a little bit skill.

so i call it a halloween prank.

I posted this comment on another site, but I think I buy the "precision air team" explanation. At 1:04 you can hear the sound of what seems to be small prop planes, with a slight doppler shift that would make sense if they had banked and were flying left to right from the perspective of the camera.

The sound could have come from a different source, but I don't know.

This catch is indeed awesome. For me it's possibly the best UFO video this year. This footage is much more worth an analysis than this temple mount stuff and so on. Would be very interesting to know if that thing also appeared on radar.

Finally, something other than orbs. This is good one. Too bad they didn't have a full blown video camera.

Wow, this is really fantastic! I was a little confused as to what I was looking at while they were still in the car.. but when they were outside and said it was over their house, it came into perfect view. So amazing!
Wish I could have been there to see it. Are there any other eye witnesses?

Your answer to your "ALIEN" is at the following link.

I have to agree, this is 1 of the best pieces of UFO evidence i've seen in awhile. I kind of agree the Halloween prank theory sort of makes sense though. I'd love to see this on sci-fy's Fact or Faked to see if it can be recreated. I think the size of the object would be the most difficult aspect of trying to mimic this footage using the technique you described.

The report expressly said it was not anything like the stunt pilot group they heard about on the news. It was right overhead, and esp. in the zoom-in that's on UFO Casebook you can see that it is a cohesive "craft" with lights on the underside, not a group of separate objects. - However, we know these things can agglomerate and organize themselves into variable, temporary structures.

Yea... I don't buy it... doesn't look like planes to me. They wouldn't stay in formation like that over residential areas; 1 slight mistake by 1 of the pilots & you've got a horrific tragedy = 5 planes crash landing into a suburb full of families. I call bull-shit on the explanation provided in that link. Sounds like an easy way for the government controlled media to explain it away to me

My daughter and her friend saw it. She swears it was NOT an airplaine. She said it was huge and circular. And let me tell you, my daughter is one of the most skeptical people you will ever meet. She said it was a UFO. Nothing she had ever seen before. Huge and circular. She said it hovered. She also said that for some reason she didn't feel frightened. I was wondering why she didn't run home screaming. She is 19 and her friend is 20. This is no prank. But, where did it come from? Crazy!!! I saw one years ago. I have only told one person until now. It was also circular. But, there were no lights or they were off. It was just hovering. No noise. This was in Illinois in the 90s.

I was impressed with the video on Real Ufos, but the same video is on UFO Casebook, and in my opinion it looks like a formation of 5 planes in the close up shot on that site. Of course videos usually don't do justice to what is seen.

If you do a search on youtube for "arrowhead stadium flyover" you can find footage of the stunt planes flying right overhead; there are 7 planes in that formation & they don't look or move anything like what's shown in this video

Here's the video i was referring to; same night, same flight team, NOT what's filmed in this video

I can clearly hear the sound of the prop planes. It makes complete sense that it is the kc flight team considering they flew the same exact night and even have a post about this on their Facebook page regarding the UFO sightings. I read this site daily and have seem some unexplainable things and at first this video looks like a UFO sighting but I really think people want it to be something it is not. The kc flight team flew the same night in the same sky, I saw the video of them flying over the stadium but in a different formation, they state they have a UFO formation that they fly in. I don't think that they are in on a cover up to discredit this video. I think this video is them flying. Not naturally occuring fireballs as some YouTube commenters would suggest although if you search google there is a phenomenon involving fireballs that shoot up 100s of feet in the air from a river under specific weather conditions in one area on the planet...not spontaneously occuring in mid air in numbers hovering or flying....they have been reported for centuries over this river.

You can clearly hear adults in this video saying no, those are planes, or helicopters right? It's because they could hear planes. I could hear planes. I know the sound.

The article another commenter linked to even explains that this is the kc flight team and before the sighting, not after as an explanation. The article states the team which had previously been mistaken for a UFO will be returning to fly over the stadium at the exact time of the national anthem.

This was also stated at the bottom of the article.

"Prior to the flyover at Arrowhead Stadium, KC Flight will be in a holding pattern over Lee’s Summit. Engines rev at 7:10. They’re expected to fly over Arrowhead at 7:38:30."

I find it hard to believe all of the youtubers that still insist this is a UFO even after being presented with this information.

People say the planes wouldn't fly in formation like this over a residential area filled with people yet they did this exact thing over a stadium filled with thousands and thousands of people watching a football game?

I believe in ufos and unexplained stuff however I do not believe this video is a UFO. It's been explained.
