Cylinder UFO filmed above Somerset coastline 11 Feb 2009

New Cylinder Ufo Somerset UK:

Below extract from this article
Caravaners were left baffled when the mysterious cylinder hovered over a busy campsite in Brean, Somerset.
They claimed the unidentified black metal object stands out clearly against the blue sky, where it can be seen darting up and down for more than 10 minutes.
Local police reported no unusual activity, but witnesses were left convinced they had seen an extra-terrestrial spectacle.
It took place on a sunny afternoon last July when tourists staying at an unidentified holiday park spotted the object.
One grabbed his video camera and managed to capture its strange, erratic movements in the sky.
The video was shot at the height of the tourist season and stopped hundreds of holidaymakers in their tracks.

Seeing this footage a couple of days ago has really sparked my interest in what this thing is. The reason being that back in July 2008 myself along with at least 7 witnesses saw exactly the same thing one friday afternoon in Peterborough (UK). I spotted the cylinder shaped thing in the sky and pointed it out to other people as we were in a beer garden. It sat in one position for about 15 minutes then moved to the right for about another ten minutes before it finally disappeared. We took pictures and video on phone but doesnt seem to be visible when you play back. Without hessitation though this is definately what we all sat and watched for nearly half an hour.

I'm very interested to read Shaun Featherstone's comment above.

My parents and I spotted a similar-looking object in the sky over Frilsham in Berkshire yesterday late afternoon. Another couple pointed it out to us, and apparently they had been watching it for some time.

I also tried taking photos and a video on my mobile. The object is invisible in all the images but two, where all that shows up is the sun reflecting off it. I'd be surprised if £9.99 solar balloons from Argos exhibit this mysterious property!
