Totally not trying to be an asshole here (because sometimes I do hah). This was more or less debunked. There was nothing alien about the skull when tests were done. Just like you meet people today with abnormalities and deformities, as to then. Once again, you're watching a documentary designed to entertain you. I know, I'm in the entertainment industry myself. When you go to a studio, there are people who sit around, look through sound libraries the most mysterious music they can find, and editors who will omit footage that could cast serious doubt on the mystery, at least until the very end of the documentary where they feel they should, at least, get their feet on the ground somewhat. Remember, they're seeking to entertain.. which isn't to say there's isn't truth to these documentaries, just that you have to be very critical of what you're watching. Nothing about this star child is convincing unfortunately, and my bet is the owner of the skull enjoys the majestic feeling it gives him rather than seeking the truth about it. He's taking it to convention after convention, and he doesn't even have evidence that it's anything other than a human skull. That's irresponsible.

Ahh, If you heard that the Starchild Skull was "More or Less" debunked, then you more, or less, heard wrong. The real tests done on the skull showed many characteristics that are inconsistent with the human model. The thickness is about 1/3 less than the human skull, much lighter but much harder, ocular orbits vastly different, brain cavity is larger, sinus cavity different, and the list really goes on. You may have seen mainstream scientists attempt to debunk it by inverse examination- preconceived conclusion on the outset, then formulating questions, whether they are accurate or not, to fit their model. Of course there many examples of abnormalities & deformities of the past as in the present, but - the Starchild's Skull was NOT one of them. You stated that you worked in the "entertainment" industry, and I will except that. But the scientists I have seen & heard didn't conduct their research by visiting Pee Wee's Playhouse, they have done & are still doing research by field studies, scientific analysis in labs & sites of origin, DNA tests when & if they can, etc- etc- etc. I know of NO ONE who conducts research at the "Skooby-Doo & Scrappy Too" studios, with the possible exception of Professor Irwin Cory.

I'm not sure if it's real or not but it certainly looks interesting.

Anon 2: Fair enough. DNA test. Good point. How long will that take? Oh, and I'm talking without the owner of the skull saying something ludicrous like "no one will do it because they can't take him seriously and why risk casting doubt on my best alien exhibit which I call 'star child' because obviously if it's different it must be extraterrestrial in nature woops I've said too much."

So, I guess he's not having too much luck with those DNA tests.. I haven't heard anything. Maybe someone can post whether or not he had any recent DNA tests completed on the skull?
