Vatican says It's OK To Believe In Aliens

Hey guys if you haven't heard this is big news:
Vatican City — Believing that the universe may contain alien life does not contradict a faith in God, the Vatican's chief astronomer said in an interview published Tuesday.

The Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, the Jesuit director of the Vatican Observatory, was quoted as saying the vastness of the universe means it is possible there could be other forms of life outside Earth, even intelligent ones.

"How can we rule out that life may have developed elsewhere?" Funes said. "Just as we consider earthly creatures as 'a brother,' and 'sister,' why should we not talk about an 'extraterrestrial brother'? It would still be part of creation."

In the interview by the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, Funes said that such a notion "doesn't contradict our faith" because aliens would still be God's creatures. Ruling out the existence of aliens would be like "putting limits" on God's creative freedom, he said.

It would seem they want to avoid another Galileo-fiasco and jump on the bandwagon ahead of time...

Vatican is still a piece of the NWO, it too must be exposed before humanity will know true peace, independence and freedom.

Good reporting! This is big.

I wonder why the Pope did say that AFTER he visited the United States AND spoke with George Bush...

Are they wanting to "prepare" us for something?

Well, if it is some form of preparation, my guess is that it'll take several years to come out. With the MOD releasing its UFO files and the Vatican calling organisms from other planets our "Extraterrestrial Brothers" (yes, that came from their mouths), AND with the increased news coverage of strange sightings, they're at least trying to prepare people for a potential NASA discovery OR a disclosure. No matter how you spin it, we're being softened up for something. The biggest question in my mind is whether it's related to a cover-up or it's preemptive in some way.

Interesting times ahead. SO much progressive stuff is happening. Obama and Hillary running for office, the Vatican encouraging thought about aliens. It sounds like they're de-hicking us lol.

It's ironic that religious folk could believe in God, yet find alien life hard to swallow.

I have a mysterious feeling that it won't take long any more...maybe some years. Maybe in Dec 2012? There is something big that will chance the world. Let's hope, it's something GOOD.

It really doesn't mean ANYTHING.

Unless the Pope himself would say it during something like "Urbi et Orbi".

But some Vatican administrator, lol.

If you think this is big, I suggest you get to know what Monseigneur Balducci had to say a couple of months/years ago.

DREAM ON YOU GUYS!

Monseigneur Balducci. Yeah, I heard about him, and the guy's probably right, but the Vatican approving belief in ufos is the first time it's hit mainstream media.

Jesuits...not Franciscans.

Remember, change comes slowly, sometimes.

Thank G-*-d, for change, though.

Religion is taking the smart road. Provide an explanation that will fit into the 4 walls of your belief and no ones faith will waiver when we finally do have an encounter.

It is time to start to recognize the truth. Other species are looking at us with amusement. We enslave and destroy ourselves and restrict our ability to think without restraint through religion, politics, money, war, greed and exploitation. By breaking down all walls we can free oursleves, wake up and step into consciousness. IT IS ONLY UNTIL WE HAVE LOST EVERYTHING THAT WE ARE FREE TO DO ANYTHING.
